Briefing 3: Organised crime and child sexual exploitation in local communities

This briefing brings together key evidence on child sexual exploitation from the Police Foundation’s Reducing the impact of serious organised crime in local communities project with Perpetuity Research.

Focusing on a single city, this research examines the links between child sexual exploitation (CSE). It presents an analysis of the characteristics of the groups that perpetrate CSE and how they operate, the scale and impact of organised crime linked to CSE and the response from the police and partner agencies. The briefing concludes with a number of recommendations.
