Police Foundation (USA) 
A private, independent, not-for profit organisation dedicated to supporting innovation and improvement in policing through its research, technical assistance, and communications programmes.

Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) (USA)
PERF is a membership organization of progressive police executives from the largest city, county and state law enforcement agencies, dedicated to improving policing and advancing professionalism through research and involvement in public policy debate. 

Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) (International, based in India) 
CHRI’s mandate is to promote awareness of and adherence to the Harare Principles, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other internationally recognised human rights instruments and declarations made by the Commonwealth Heads of Governments as well as domestic instruments supporting human rights in the Commonwealth. It has an ongoing programme looking at police reform.

The International Association of Chiefs of Police (International, based in USA)
The world's oldest and largest non-profit membership organization of police executives, with over 20,000 members in over 89 different countries. 

International Police Association (International) 
An independent body made up of members of the police service, whether on active duty or retired, and without distinction as to rank, sex, race, colour, language or religion. 

Interpol (International, based in France)
The world’s largest international police organization, with 184 member countries. Created in 1923, it facilitates cross-border police co-operation, and supports and assists all organizations, authorities and services whose mission is to prevent or combat international crime. 

Europol (European, based in The Netherlands)
The European Law Enforcement Organisation which aims to improve the effectiveness and co-operation of the competent authorities in the member states in preventing and combating terrorism, unlawful drug trafficking and other serious forms of international organised crime.

Dutch Security, Society and Police Foundation
An independent organisation that contributes to the debate on policing and on safety and security issues in society. The website has English, as well as Dutch content.
