Ideas in British Policing
We have produced a series of Ideas Papers on key areas of policing. Written by distinguished academics and police officers, the papers synthesise complex theories, research and debate on contemporary policing principles, policy and practice into a concise, accessible, user friendly and practical format.
The Ideas Papers will be an invaluable resource for all police officers at all levels who, due to time and resource constraints, rarely have the opportunity to access this type of material. The papers will be used in training and professional development courses for police officers and will also be widely disseminated to academics, students, the media, policy makers and other criminal justice practitioners.
The idea for these papers emanated from the successful series of Ideas in American Policing published by the American Police Foundation.
The Ideas Paper series is available in hard copy or PDF format (a special rate for organisations is available). To purchase the full set of Ideas Papers or to purchase individual papers (see below) click here.
