Kieran Lewis was the Policy and Research Officer at the Police Foundation until August 2018. He has a background in social media research, with a focus on counter-terrorism and crisis communication. Prior to joining the Foundation he completed post graduate education in the Netherlands whilst also working for a crisis management consultancy. He has produced reports for the European Commission and the Global Commission on Internet Governance and has presented his research at a number of academic conferences across Europe and the US. Kieran has a BA in anthropology from LSE, an MA in new media research methods from the University of Amsterdam and is submitting a PhD at Leiden University that examines the adoption of social media technology by UK police forces.
