Rick Muir is Director of the Police Foundation, the UK’s independent policing think tank. Prior to that he was the Associate Director for Public Service Reform at the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR). He has a D Phil in Politics from the University of Oxford. He is a Visiting Professor at Northumbria University, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) and a member of the Cumberland Lodge Police Steering Committee. He has previously been a local councillor and school governor.
